About Us
I live in west suburban Elmhurst with my husband, two children and two dogs. My son, Charlie, is 14 and my daughter, Molly, is a very determined 11. We love to travel and took our first cross-country road trip six years ago -- we packed up the kids and headed west, seeing nine states in 15 days and traveling 4,500 miles! Last summer we headed east to Baltimore, Indy and Cooperstown, NY. Aside from our ongoing travel bug, I’m pretty much a regular suburban mom -- transporting my kids to hockey practice, ballet class, and photographing countless lacrosse, hockey and baseball games. Who knew hockey rinks had such great light for shooting?
In the winter, you’ll find me watching our kids and their friends skate on our backyard ice rink with a steaming cup of coffee in my hands (and running back inside to frequently heat it up because I can’t stand luke-warm coffee). On summer nights, there’s nothing better than sitting on the patio sipping a glass of chilled sauvignon blanc, watching them hit baseballs over the fence or roasting marshmallows by our fire pit.
I bought my first nice camera right before my son was born, determined to capture everything about him from the dozen different baby expressions he seemed to make each day to his tiny wrinkly fingers and toes. I decided to start taking pictures professionally 10 years ago, and I absolutely love it! I have a clean, simple shooting style and try to capture the love and connections in everyday life. I promise that you will get the shots for grandma of everyone saying “cheese” and looking at the camera, but my favorite images are always the ones in which the kids are laughing and their parents are watching them with love practically shining out of them.
My goal is to get you to relax and enjoy the moment -- because if you have fun, trust me, it will be a great photo. And the moments we capture will tell your family’s story.
